The tech giant promotes transparent development in enterprise AI

At the technology summit, International Business Machines' David Cox delivered a convincing case for collaborative development in corporate artificial intelligence. The executive, Vice President of AI models and director at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, stressed the crucial nature of collaboration in technological advancement, particularly in the current machine learning environment.
David emphasized the multifaceted essence of accessibility in AI, challenging the binary view of the principle. He observed the burgeoning community of transparent systems from multiple providers, including industry leaders, research centers, and countries.
Nevertheless, he voiced concerns about the quality of openness in various AI language systems, observing that certain models provide little more than a "bag of numbers" devoid of clarity in their development processes.
